go back

Tileyard residents and one of the world’s leading digital music companies Believe UK, has joined forces with Rinse, the pioneers within London’s underground dance scene.

This collaboration aims to manage distribution and label services for Rinse Recordings and Bad Music imprints. Believe will be responsible for the global digital distribution of all frontline and catalogue releases from Rinse and Bad Music. Rinse Recordings represents renowned dance acts such as Katy B and Vigro Deep, and has also released music from Nia Archives. Its sister label, Bad Music, which emerged in 2018, has released captivating tracks from singer-songwriters like Sinéad Harnett, Sasha Keable, and James Smith, among others.

While Rinse will continue managing day-to-day marketing for both labels, it will now benefit from Believe’s audience development team, spanning across 50 countries with a focus on audio and video, as well as editorial and marketing partnerships with digital service providers (DSPs). Rinse Recordings and Bad Music will leverage the expertise of Believe’s specialists in dance, electronic, pop, and other relevant genres.

From its beginnings in pirate radio in the ’90s, Rinse FM gained notoriety for its role in the development of garage, jungle, grime and dubstep, starting to release music under Rinse Recordings in 2003. Rinse now joins Believe’s new b:electronic global imprint, solidifying Believe’s presence in the UK’s dance and electronic music distribution scene. Local labels such as Cr2 Records, Greco-Roman, Knee Deep In Sound, and Southern Fried Records are already part of Believe’s roster, with Hospital Records also signing last month.

Exciting upcoming releases include projects from Watch The Ride, Katy B, Vigro Deep, and Perempay & DaVinChe through Rinse, as well as James Smith through Bad Music.
