To those unfamiliar with Vochlea, could you please introduce the company and highlight its core values and goals?
Our tech, Dubler 2, bridges the gap between mind and music, allowing musicians to compose, produce, and perform music using their voice. It allows musicians to use their voice to play, control and manipulate software instruments completely live.
Our main goal is to inspire and enable musicians to explore new ways of creating music and to remove barriers to music production. Our core values are creativity, accessibility, and empowerment— we’re dedicated to advancing what can be achieved with the voice, continuously working on our software to give musicians the tools they need to be more creative and streamline their workflow.
What inspired the development of your product, and what problems does it aim to solve for musicians?
We developed Dubler 2 to simplify the music creation process, allowing musicians to use their voice to directly input their musical ideas into their DAW, no matter what their level of instrumental skill. It helps users quickly transform thoughts into music and control sounds in real time, making music production more intuitive and accessible. Our tech caters to musicians at all skill levels, enabling them to easily explore different ideas and produce at the speed of light.
In terms of user experience, how does Vochlea ensure that its technology is accessible and user-friendly for musicians, regardless of their technical expertise?
We believe that nothing should get in the way of a great idea. Our user interface is designed with simplicity in mind— it has clear instructions and intuitive controls that make it easy for users to navigate and use. We also have many tutorials, and lots of online resources to support users at every step of their journey, from setup to advanced use. Most people get going with Dubler 2 very quickly, but we also provide 1-on-1 setup support as well as weekly group webinars.
Can you provide insights into the upcoming developments or innovations in Vochlea’s pipeline that users can look forward to?
We’re always working on our voice-to-MIDI tech Dubler 2, but one exciting new venture on our plate is a mobile app. It’s a voice notes app designed specifically for music makers, and we’re currently in the testing phase. If you’re interested in trying out a beta version, please get in touch.
