Simon Pursehouse, Global Director Of Music Services – Sentric Music
Simon Pursehouse has been an integral part of Sentric Music Group since the company’s infancy overseeing the signing of Sentric’s first artist in 2006 to its now established community of over 200,000 songwriters.
Simon works in the creative department within Sentric and is the point person for their roster of signed songwriters where he looks to provide creative opportunities for them alongside Sentric’s evergreen copyrights (co-writes, covers, samples, remixes etc.).
Previously at Sentric, Simon headed up the sync division, which under his supervision was nominated as Best Indie Publisher at the Music Week Sync awards for five years running. Here he has developed relationships with global media organisations, broadcasters and advertising agencies which has resulted in Sentric’s catalogue being placed in adverts, films, games, TV shows worldwide.
Simon has been featured in Music Weeks’ ‘30 Under 30’ list and regularly speaks at various industry conferences worldwide such as Reeperbahn, The Great Escape, BBC Introducing Live and AIM’s Sync Day amongst many others. He has been invited to discuss Sentric on BBC 6Music on two occasions and has consulted on judging panels for awards/grants for BAFTA, PRS, BRITs, Music Week and more. He is a regular guest lecturer at LIPA and BIMM amongst other educational bodies.
Simon has been a core part of Sentric’s online identity; he is the author of Sentric’s Blog which offers advice to emerging artists and has received millions of hits as well as being fundamental to the company’s social media presence.
Kali Bradford, Director Of Business Development – SyncVault
After graduating with a degree in Music Industry from the College of Saint Rose in Albany, New York, Kali moved to New Orleans to start her career. She began as an independent artist manager and was quickly hired as the youngest Music and Talent Coordinator for the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra a few months after arriving. After a few years in New Orleans, Kali moved to London to continue her education with a Masters in Music Industry Management, from which she graduated with Distinction. During her studies, she founded her own management company and worked as Social Media Coordinator for Fierce Panda/Club Fandango.
From there, she was hired as Label Manager for Distiller Records where she was A&R for Cassia’s debut album as well as project managed all other releases on the label. At Distiller she secured partnerships and curated stages at over 16 UK Festivals/conferences, including The Great Escape, Bestival, Liverpool Sound City, Y Not, etc, as well as their international counterparts, SXSW, New Colossus, Reeperbahn and the Brazilian Rio Music Market. Kali continued her education further with an LLM in Entertainment Law and MBA in International Business and left Distiller to become a freelance label and artist manager.
Kali Bradford is now the Director of Business Development at SyncVault where her main responsibility is to cultivate relationships with artists, record labels, distributors and other artist development companies to help create a new international solution to the traditional marketing mix.
Thomas Johashen-Wright, Head Of Procurement – SoundLounge
Thomas has over 25 years of experience as a skilled licensing negotiator and account manager, working directly with some of the top advertising agencies, brands and production companies on a global basis such as J. Walter Thompson Group (Wunderman), BBDO, Havas, Leo Burnett, Hogarth, ODD London and HeyHuman.
He has a vast knowledge and insight into music catalogues having licensed thousands of commercial copyrights over the span of career. Some brands include SlimFast, Special K, HSBC, Lidl, Pataks, Ford, Durex, Rennie and TK Maxx.
Currently Operations Manager and appointed Account Manager for key clients such as MARS (Western Europe) handling brands/products such as Sheba, Whiskas, Galaxy, Snickers, Mars Bar.
Thomas currently leads a team of creative and licensing mangers at soundlounge, one of Europe’s leading music agencies.
Liz Williams, Head of Broadcast & Special Projects – Felt Music
Liz’s career has dipped a toe in most facets of the music industry.
From working with artist management, prestigious music schools, touring, PR, Marketing, working for an indie label, publishing, spending 14 months in house at Banijay focusing on long form supervision – combined now gives her 8+ years of Music Supervision & Sync expertise from various vantage points.
Her working home is at Felt Music, a diverse true 360 music company that spans a multitude of offerings from commercial sync, bespoke, publishing, sound design in the space of TV & Advertising as well as collaborating on various immersive / experimental projects.
Before entering the world of the music industry Liz studied music all throughout her younger years in learning various instruments, songwriting & being part of prestigious ensembles like the Canadian Children’s Opera Chorus. Liz went from the creative process to understand more on the technical front when she completed, with honours, a degree in Music Technology from the London College of Music & Media. Born & raised in Toronto, Canada but found a new home from the age of 19 in London, England.
