Welcome Emily Hillier To The Tileyard Family

go back

We are excited to introduce Emily, our Events Manager for Tileyard!

Welcome to the Tileyard Team! Tell us more about your role.

I’m your lady for all enquiries and bookings here at Tileyard. So, if you would like to book the Gallery, our 120-cap event space with a fully loaded bar, please get in touch.

I will be curating a program of events relevant to Tileyard, such as seminars, live music, training days and parties that will add value to our community and keep us all connected.  So, get in touch if you have any ideas or want to get involved!

If you are yet to see these spaces in person, just let me know, and I will be more than happy to show you around.

What are you hoping to bring to the team?

I want to create value for our community and open an entry point into the Tileyard ecosystem outside of taking physical space on site. I hope to create meaningful experiences for our residents and beyond, which will help amplify our story and connect our brand more deeply into the industries we operate in.

What do you love most about the Tileyard community?

There is just a fantastic vibe from the moment you walk in; Tileyard is filled with wonderfully talented people, great food in the café and endless opportunities in ‘this arena of dreams’ (I heard someone say one day).

Now for some quick-fire questions, what’s your…

Favourite band/artists?

There are too many to choose from! I wouldn’t say that I have a favourite, but I love 80’s, 90’s R&B/Soul/Rock/Pop and a sneaky bit of UK Garage.

Dream holiday?

A never-ending one.

Favourite food?

Cheesy truffle & mushroom pasta or anything with pesto 😍

You have to sing karaoke, what song do you pick?

You wouldn’t want to hear me sing – I’ll leave it to the professionals, haha.

What would the name of your first album be?

Please don’t listen; I can’t sing.

Do you have any hidden talents?

I’m a secret Special FX make-up artist; it all started through my fascination with Horror film effects (Mrs Doubtfire kicked it all off). So, I’m your lady to call for Halloween!

I’m a lover of the arts. I’m always up for getting involved with anything creative, sculptures, props for sets designs, sketching, painting, mainly watercolours & acrylics, and I have recently discovered that I’m not too bad at taking portraits & editing.
