Women In Music Awards 2023

go back

The 2023 Women In Music Awards marked a milestone, celebrating its 10th anniversary with an extraordinary ceremony. Held at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge, London, this edition – in association with AIM and UK Music – was the most expansive yet.

The hugely successful awards recognise the great careers of women and female-identifying individuals in the music business.

A hugely popular industry figure and Tileyard resident, Natalie Wade, received the Music Week’s Campaigner Award (sponsored by Spotify) for her exceptional contributions. Not only the founder of Small Green Shoots but also the director of music industry engagement at PPL and the visionary behind The Cat’s Mother, Wade was accompanied by the latest Young Shoots program cohort, who actively engaged in networking and assisting at the awards.

The event saw the participation of esteemed partners like Small Green Shoots, Girls I Rate, and Mobolise by MOBO, whose presence provided valuable networking opportunities to the attendees.

Wade claimed her award, exclaiming, “I’m definitely not considering growing old gracefully,” while acknowledging PPL’s efforts toward diversity. She humbly attributed her success to the countless unsung women in the industry, the ones “who know where the bodies are, who get things done.”

During this year’s Women In Music Awards, they also inducted game-changing industry executives into the Roll Of Honour, in association with TikTok. The Roll Of Honour aims to highlight the breadth, depth and variety of individuals who are trailblazers in the music industry, with their activities consistently benefiting women, or focusing on empowerment/gender disparity.

We’re proud to announce that Tileyard resident, Liz Northeast, from FUGA was recognised as one of Music Week’s prestigious Roll of Honor in association with TikTok joining the line-up of previous honorees, who have been selected over the past decade.
