We are proud to share that Tileyard resident Karen Emanuel, the founder of Key Production Group, was awarded the Businesswoman Of The Year award at the Music Week Women In Music Awards 2024!

Karen received the Prime Ministerial seal of approval with a letter of congratulations from Sir Keir Starmer (a fellow Leeds University student), who praised her “self-made success” and commitment to physical music even as piracy was taking hold.

Under Karen’s leadership, Key Production Group has achieved B Corp certification, proving that they’re not just about making waves in the music industry but doing it responsibly. As a B Corp, they’re part of a global mission to create an inclusive, equitable, and regenerative economy. Key Production is also a founding “supporter” of the Music Climate Pact, showing their commitment to sustainability in the industry.

Key Production Group are a multimillion-pound business and the largest music industry manufacturing broker in the UK. The company’s expansion into Germany last year marked a significant milestone, with international business now growing across France, Germany, Scandinavia, and the Netherlands.

This year’s Women in Music Awards also had strong support from the Tileyard community. SoundCloud was the headline partner of the event, while Downtown played a key role as one of the sponsors.
